What I do is measure out 1.8 liters and pour into the tank, crank up for a few seconds, then add the final 500 ml. Measuring is best because unless and until you get the motor good and hot, the sight glass window will show the oil as low. 2.
The manual states the oil capacity is 2.9 liter with filter change. I have put in approximately 2.8 liters. I have done my own 1000 kilometer SERVICE, changed lube oil filter, changed oil, checked the front end for proper torque ratings on torx bolts/screws etc. Did it myself not because I can't afford it, but because I don't like someone else
